A16 Print This Post Bookmark and Share

last night i had an early birthday dinner at A16, which is located in the marina neighborhood of san francisco. named after the highway that connects Naples to Bari, A16 is devoted to southern Italy’s rustic cuisine. i could go on and on about the fabulous dinner we had, but i’ll be brief: the ambience was relaxed and romantic, the service was top-notch, and the food was delicioso! i even got a copy of A16: Food + Wine, one of the most beautiful cookbooks that i have seen in a while.  and yes, i’m an aquarius.

self-portrait of favianna rodriguez

I am very excited to be collaborating with my friend Favianna Rodriguez to create some powerful posters about food justice, which will debut when Vegan Soul Kitchen is published in March. Favi is one of the most talented and sought-after printmakers working today. She is most well known for her works reflecting on issues such as war, immigration, globalization, and social movements. She was recently profiled on ABC’s Profiles of Excellence, a local program about individuals in the San Francisco Bay Area who do notable work in the community. Watch it here.
