Bryant Terry will be in conversation with Dr. Ashanté M. Reese at the John L. Warfield Center for African and African American Studies as part of its Faculty Book Talk series. Together, they will discuss Reese’s new book, Gather: Black Food, Nourishment, and the Art of Togetherness, exploring the relationships between food, community, care, and collective flourishing in Black life. Drawing on their shared commitments to food justice, cultural memory, and storytelling, the conversation will reflect on how acts of gathering and nourishment can sustain individuals, families, and communities while imagining more equitable futures.
